Our affiliate disclosure — the fair and square version.

Plumb & Square is free to use. When we help you price up a build, we show you real links to real retailers — for the materials on your shopping list, and for the ready-made alternatives we compare against. Some of those links are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the retailer pays us a small commission out of their own margin.

As an Amazon Associate, Plumb & Square earns from qualifying purchases. We also take part in other retailer affiliate programmes.

What it costs you: nothing

You pay exactly the price you'd pay going to the retailer directly. No markup, no fees — the commission comes from the retailer's side of the till, never yours.

What it never changes: our answer

Our job is telling you honestly whether building or buying wins — and commission has no vote in that. We rank links by what's best for your build (the right product, the right price), never by what pays us most. When buying beats building, we say so, even though "just buy it" often earns us more than helping you build. Fair and square means exactly that.
